This position exists to manage the implementation of MSRS’ strategic plans by logically and analytically investigating business systems, identifying options for improving business systems, and bridging the needs of the business with the use of information technology (IT). This position will lead the Business Analysis of MSRS development projects, become a subject matter expert on the IT implementation of their assigned business systems, and collaborate with lead staff throughout the IT division on implementation of business systems.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing IT business analysis functions.

  • Demonstrated experience in IT business analysis for developing or configuring business applications including detailed user stories.

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in problem definition, information gathering and research, root cause analysis, alternatives analysis, applying creative solutions to unique and/or immediate problems, and appropriate resolution implementation.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, present complex information to users in a comprehensive style, and translate technical and system information for non-technical stakeholders.

*A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for one (1) year, OR a related associate’s degree may substitute for six (6) months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Agile and/or project management certifications including Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) Certified Scrum Master (CMS) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

  • Experience working with project management and/or software development lifecycle tools such as Atlassian Jire, Gitlab, Azure DevOps or equivalent.

  • Highly developed relationship management skills with experience creating an environment conducive to collaboration, team building, consensus building and conflict resolution.

  • Understanding of retirement plan business language, processes, concepts and terms.
