This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

This position provides engineering expertise to MnDOT and its partners on transit facilities throughout greater MN. This is accomplished by working with the Principal Facilities Engineer, MnDOT staff, and external partners to develop and implement policy, standards, and guidance for Greater MN transit facilities.

Occasional travel (10% of time) to work with transit systems throughout MN on facility projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.

• Experience with drafting policies and manuals.

• Experience managing programs and projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with roles and responsibilities of state, local, and regionals units of government.

• Experience with data management systems/software.
