The Inter-Agency Efforts Supervisor leads transformative initiatives in disability services focused to help people plan for the future, find meaningful employment, and achieve financial well-being. The Supervisor oversees a dynamic team of change agents who collaborate with state agencies, program participants and community partners to align efforts to reach the following key outcomes.

  • Employment - Minnesotans with disabilities work in competitive, integrated employment and receive the support they need to succeed.

  • Benefits Planning - Minnesotans with disabilities receive on-going benefits planning support to make informed decisions, work to their full potential, and build financial stability.

  • Family Connections - Families who have children with disabilities are connected to information, tools, and supports to meet their needs, and plan for their child’s future.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership experience*

*Leadership experience can include:

  • Experience as a supervisor, leadworker, team lead, project lead;

  • Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);

  • A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:

  • 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions

  • 100+ hours per year time commitment

AND

4 years of specialized professional work demonstrating the following:

  • Driving systems change and leading strategic planning efforts across diverse partners, ensuring effective collaboration and positive impact

  • Shaping public policy: Developing, analyzing, and administering public policy, grants, and budgets

  • Knowledge of the disability community, history, and the team’s areas of focus (employment, family connections, and benefits planning)

  • Knowledge of state and federal programs that help people with disabilities live an inclusive life, including Minnesota’s home and community-based supports programs, systems, financing, coverage, and administrative operations; related state programs/supports and federal programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep Knowledge of Related Public Policy and Systems - demonstrated expertise in disability and employment policy, including understanding unique issues and systems related to families with minors.

  • Advanced Communication, Persuasion and Negotiation Skills - c apacity to effectively communicate, inspire, motivate, and influence others.

  • Advanced Leadership Experience - previous supervisory experience and leading cross agency collaborations; integrated, coordinated, and reconciled diverse partner interests, mandates, and goals.

  • Cultural Competence - working effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

  • Creative Problem-Solving - creativity in finding innovative solutions to complex challenges.
