As a Data Validation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting the independent analysis of participant data records within the Workforce One (WF1) Management Information System (MIS) to validate the accuracy of participant data. You will assist DEED with identifying data inaccuracies, recording review results, and working with Local Workforce Development Associations (LWDAs) and other DEED Grantees to correct data errors. To complete your assigned tasks, you will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, representatives of the agency, employment counselors, and employment and training providers. This work will be essential to ensuring DEED meets U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) data validation requirements in accordance with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Law and technical guidance.
This position is telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) eligible and is occasionally required to be on-site at the office. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment and may telework from anywhere in Minnesota or a neighboring state. Please note, the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year* of professional experience with data management, data comparison, or identification of data errors.
*Bachelor's degree in data management, management information systems, human services, or related social service. Closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Skill in organizing complex information with a strong attention to detail.
Experience drafting memos, creating and delivering presentations, and explaining complex information.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the participant file requirements of WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth Programs.
Experience working with diverse stakeholders to maintain collaborative, trusting relationships.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Ability to take direction from colleagues and work well on a team.
