Department of Administration, Facilities Management Division is seeking our next Central Mail Supervisor, to direct and manage all Mail operations. These operations include 6 main functions within Central Mail which includes USPS Mail Processing, Inkjet Addressing, Inserting, Folding, OCR Operations, Interoffice Courier Delivery and Pickup. The incumbent will ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved, and each operates in an efficient manner.

Some examples of the job duties include:

  • Establish, coordinate, and inform state agency representatives of new programsoffered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) that result incost savings or improved efficiency.

  • Manage CentralMailstaffsothatassigned responsibilities are carried out in a thorough, cooperative,and proficient manner.

  • Prepareannualproductionplans,purchaseequipment, and develop the annual business plan and budget to enable the developmentof goals and production activities.

  • Establish andmanagea qualitycontrolprogram toavoid spoilage.

  • Maintain sufficient funds anddevelopprocedures fortheflow ofmailto ensurethat customersreceive high­ quality services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years' experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, OR project lead that includes directing and assigning work, managing, and measuring performance, and coaching, mentoring, or training staff.

  • Knowledge andunderstanding United StatesPostalService rules and regulations.

  • Organizational skills sufficient to prioritize daily tasks.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
