The WAP Administrative Monitor helps the Weatherization Assistance Program deliver high impact energy conservation upgrades and build climate resiliency for low-income Minnesota households. This position exists to monitor and provide technical assistance to MN Weatherization Assistance Program Service Providers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus two (2) years‘ professional experience with compliance monitoring, program or grant management.
OR
Advanced degree, plus one (1) year or more professional experience with compliance monitoring, program or grant management.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience with compliance monitoring, program or grant management. .
Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirement will be further evaluated based on the following:Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
Customer Service skills sufficient to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
Inter-personal skills sufficient to build relationships Service Providers (monitorees), co-workers, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with State, Federal, and/or local government funded programs.
Knowledge of federal financial regulations.
Experience with administration of federal or state-funded programs including applying understanding of policy, regulations, and business requirements.
Bachelor‘s Degree in training and development, business, pre-law, or management.
Ability to understand complex policy well enough to apply in real-world situations and explain application effectively to Service Providers.
Problem solving skills sufficient to address the needs of a diverse group of Service Providers (monitorees).
Interpersonal skills sufficient to manage difficult conversations with Service Providers (monitorees) while maintaining relationships.
Experience with the energy conservation, building science or the Weatherization Assistance Program.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, and laptop computer.
