nVent Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development in St Louis Park, Minnesota

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Lead special strategy projects, initiatives and evaluate white space market entry or expansion opportunities that advance key strategic priorities leveraging project management and analytical skills

  • Partner with business segment teams to identify strategic needs and potential target companies/technologies to address those needs

  • Perform strategic, financial, and analytical analysis and assessments on various growth and M&A opportunities

  • Lead and support financial and valuation models for M&A transactions and cross-functional due diligence activities and support integration planning

YOU HAVE:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a global professional services firm or corporate environment, plus a bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years of relevant experience with an MBA are required

  • Experience in various acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and related carve-out work of various sizes, domestically or internationally

  • Valuation expertise (beyond just modeling but understanding the external valuation environment)

  • Skilled in project management in terms of both leading the thought content and managing the process
