Staples Promotional Products, a top promotional products distributor is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join the Client Marketing team. This position is primarily responsible for email campaigns, database management, and reporting to ultimately increase account success. The role of a Marketing Coordinator will primarily be responsible for developing, tracking and testing marketing campaigns and measuring effectiveness through reporting to ultimately increase e-mail marketing success. In addition, this position will assist with set up and maintenance of Google Analytics for over 150 client websites and monthly client reporting

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage opt in contact database and oversee list database entry

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure email assets are delivered in timely fashion to meet campaign deadlines

  • Run day-to-day campaign deployment tasks including, but not limited to campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns

  • Maintain a current understanding of email marketing best practices and drive continuous improvement

  • Work with Marketing Team to uncover new segmentations based upon user actions and company strategic goals

  • Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends.

  • Fine tune documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.

  • Work as a liaison between marketing and creative teams to coordinate content

  • Set up and test promo codes

  • Assist in setting up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Campaign Tracking on over 150 client websites, ensuring accuracy of tracking, and maintaining organizational structure of overall Google Analytics Account

  • Assist with maintenance of internal marketing communication site by uploading content and analyzing analytics to increase audience engagement

  • Prepare monthly reports for clients, including sales, google analytics details and marketing efforts

  • Analyze performance of marketing campaigns against forecasted KPIs and provide actionable insights with marketing managers

  • Accurate completion of template marketing reports, unique reports as requested

  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Possibility to work on accounts based on workload and experience, which could include writing creative briefs, reporting, presentations

  • Additional ad hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications

  • 1+ year(s) relevant work experience in marketing or related field

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and support functions.

Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Current understanding of email marketing concepts, metrics, best practices and legal regulations.

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and tight timelines

  • Interest in the challenge and the responsibility that comes with the role

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to department, company and client goals.

  • Google Analytics/Tag manager experience preferred

  • Experience with HTML preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills are required

  • Experience in setting up email campaigns through an ESP (Email Service Provider).
