Overview
Holtec Gas Systems is an established global supplier of systems for the generation of high purity nitrogen. Our headquarters and manufacturing operation are located in St. Charles, Missouri USA (St. Louis area). We are experts in the field of gas generation with deep experience in designing and fabricating high performance systems to fit the needs of installations anywhere in the world regardless of their environmental or regulatory requirements. We are currently Seeking a Project Engineer located at our St. Charles facility.
Responsibilities:
Fabricator interface, Customer interface and training
Create P&ID’s in AutoCAD, piping system design, create system layouts in AutoCAD, create piping models and piping isometrics using AutoCAD Plant3D
Create fabrication drawings for steel skids and frames,
Perform structural calculations
Review and understand project specifications, system, check-out, commissioning & start-up domestically and overseas
Bill of Materials preparation and interface with purchasing dept.
Preparation of Operating and Maintenance Manuals and final documentation
Develop a nitrogen generator patented for the refrigerator crisper drawer application
Perform function of Quality Control Manager for design and manufacturing
Maintain Calibration Instrument database
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of applicable experience with process equipment and piping systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design and troubleshooting of process systems.
Understanding of PLC logic control
Knowledge of European standards desirable.
Understanding of wiring diagrams, General familiarity with steel pipe and fittings, Pressure drop and flow calculations, Valve sizing, Center of mass calculations, Knowledge of welding methods, Familiarity with AWS D1.1 welding code
Candidates are expected to possess good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface will internal and external customers and team members.
Candidate should be self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment.
5-10% travel (some international) required to support installation and start-up activities. Must have valid US passport, or able to obtain a passport
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical degree
