Under general supervision, the Accounts Receivable Client Service Specialist assists Senior level Accounting Client & Product Support by maintaining contact with clients regarding unpaid invoices and other billing and invoicing questions. This role aids with managing overall contact with clients regarding their invoicing to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship.

This position will be hired out of the following office locations: Monett, MO, Springfield, MO, Lenexa, KS or Allen, TX and will worked as a hybrid schedule.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Communicate revenue recognition guidelines to sales and legal teams, and implement procedures to ensure revenue is appropriately recognized.

  • Review and document complex, multi-element revenue contracts with supporting authoritative literature

  • Ensure revenue is booked accurately and in accordance with SEC and GAAP guidelines and calculate appropriate allocations on multiple element arrangements.

  • Work with Legal to ensure contract wording captures the spirit of the agreement and complies with applicable accounting guidelines.

  • Assist in updating internal revenue policies and procedures, including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) narratives and matrices, and ensure procedures are followed in compliance with the Company’s SOX controls.

  • Assist in quarterly and annual close of revenue, including coordination of revenue requirements for quarterly and annual audits

  • Performs other special projects as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in revenue recognition in Accounting.

  • Experience with ASC 606 accounting standards.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Master’s degree or CPA.

  • Experience working within a publicly traded company.

  • Has a wide range of experience and able to resolve complex issues.Works on complex and diverse projects.Analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Able to complete in-depth special projects.

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis including sales, expense and variance analyses.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and work effectively with both employees and management.

  • Able to accurately apply company policies and procedures.

  • Proficient in MS Excel.

  • Able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic math, accounting and finance principles.

  • Able to work with confidential materials and employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
