The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe person hired for the position of Production Operator will operate, process and support equipment in various production work centers to manufacture adhesive products. As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures

  • Following process standards to ensure quality product is produced

  • Performing data entry and recording required tests and adjusting processes as necessary to meet quality specifications

  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping

  • Handling hazardous waste material in accordance with federal and state regulations

Your Skills and Expertise

  • Attention to detail, prioritization, self-motivation, teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, effective communication skills, strong work ethic, initiative, and a focus on safety

  • Ability to use computers in a manufacturing setting

  • Ability to work a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on shift availability

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with control charting, material handling, packaging, chemical manufacturing, and hazardous waste management

  • Experience working with computers in a manufacturing setting

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Travel: May include up to 0% domestic/international
