MassMutual Business Operations Consultant (Hybrid) in Springfield, Massachusetts

This role is for someone who is energized at the opportunity to implement large scale procurement projects and guide the team through procurement technology adoptions to support the already established vision.
We are looking for a Business Operations Consultant who can leverage their skills and experience to help our Procurement Corporate Travel team by providing management and analysis for:
Inquiry requests
Daily expense report audits
Processing
Standard Operating Procedures
Quality metric compliance
Customer service
Training
The Procurement Corporate Travel Team

The Impact
Your Role as a Business Operations Strategic Consultant would include but not be limited to:
Responsible for the day-to-day travel and expense functions for the enterprise, including customer service and reporting
Primary contact for daily audits of expense reports, ensuring adherence to the MassMutual Business Travel & Expense (T&E) Policy, including identification of issues and possible policy changes/improvements
Management of credit card applications, level one card issues and monthly Past Due process
Handles daily problem resolution, trending, and process improvements
Provides training and communications as needed
Lead or team member on special projects as needed
Be a strong communicator who can provide weekly/monthly updates on key initiatives and be able to maintain clear team commitments and provide awareness to management
Be part of a team to develop and manage processes for our Global Travel Program
Cross-train with team for back-up coverage and ensure end-to-end knowledge of the process
Help develop performance metrics; manage performance tracking and reporting
The Minimum Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills to review all aspects of travel expense data and identify trending and areas of opportunities at all levels (from enterprise level down to cost centers)
Ability to see the big picture and understand the details behind it; able to get at the root cause as well as understanding impacts throughout the department and the company
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Ability to provide accurate and timely summary and detail reporting to all levels
Strong team player, ability to influence those not under direct control
Must have a sense of urgency, professional and strict adherence to confidential information
Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
Ability to learn about all Corporate Travel roles and interconnections to help solve for daily activity and issues
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
3+ years’ experience with business travel processing
Knowledge and use of reporting tools including Excel and MircoStrategy
Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and accountability
Well-developed communication skills
