MassMutual Business Analytics Consultant – Investment Management (US-REMOTE) in Springfield, Massachusetts

You will be responsible for sourcing critical data required to establish key business metrics and deliver impactful analysis to our customers. The Team

As part of MMUS, the MassMutual Product organization delivers retail, worksite and investment products/solutions to support MassMutual’s multiple distribution organizations. Our Strategy & Planning team owns the supporting functions for our product development life cycle and delivers data and analytics for our Insurance, Annuity and Investment solutions. Within MMUS Product we place a premium on our creating a diverse and inclusive team, aligning priorities with key markets and distribution channels, while nurturing partnerships with key stakeholders based in transparency and accountability.

The Impact

As a Business Analytics Consultant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following in order to deliver insightful information to leadership for use in making strategic decisions.

  • Responsible for the collection, organization, analysis, and dissemination of significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Manage data across various sources and understand relationships among data elements.

  • Profile, categorize, and analyze quality of data and derive meaningful insights through presentations and visualizations.

  • Develop knowledge and technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

  • Organize and prioritize client requests, interpret data requirements, and perform timely assessment for delivery and analysis.

  • Measure, monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as cash flow and AUM.

  • Produce/deliver results through Business Intelligence tools.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external business partners to collaborate in the areas of data sourcing and reporting.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in a reporting and analytics position

  • 1+ year of experience working with data

  • Strong organizational, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to respond to requests quickly and adapt to changes

  • Strong business and financial acumen and ability to think strategically

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external business partners

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with mutual funds and/or collective investment trust products

  • Experience in the application of data governance and controls

  • Experience with CRM applications

  • Experience with data visualization tools

  • Familiarity with programming language such as SQL

Annual Salary 90,000 - 110,000 + Annual Bonus
