Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

We are currently looking to fill a Full Time, 2-3 Month Contract Community Support Leader (CSL) role in our South Region Outreach Program . Starting wage is $25.18 , with paid travel time and mileage.

Duties include:

  • Provide leadership in the efficient and safe delivery of CSS services to consumers with disabilities.

  • Lead a group of attendants in providing assistance to consumers with the non-medical activities of daily living.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation.

  • Assist in the renewal and management of consumer service agreements and help consumers access community resources.

  • Ensure continuous goal setting, problem-solving, and service planning with consumers.

  • Provide on-the-job training to newly hired attendants and offer ongoing leadership and coaching to all attendants.

  • Participate in quality improvement activities.

  • Manage service delivery resolutions and handle conflict resolution.

  • Display diplomacy when interacting with consumers, attendants, other service centers, and agencies.

  • Manage change in a constructive and positive manner.

Background / Qualifications:

  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification .

  • Minimum two years of experience in the Human Services field, working with individuals with physical disabilities.

  • Ability to lead and train staff.

  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

  • A team player with the ability to take responsibility, cooperate, and communicate with others to accomplish goals.

  • Knowledge of transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.

  • Understanding of issues related to physical disabilities and behavior management principles.

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation .

  • General understanding of computer hardware and software.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle .

  • Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility.

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including every other weekend.
