Reference #: 761Account Representative - Sales and Marketing SUMMARY: The Account Representative is responsible for managing accounts where Wheeler is implementing or has implemented the Wheeler PLUS managed inventory program. The position is accountable for maximizing sales and gross profit within the assigned accounts being managed. This position is expected to focus on growing sales, share, gross margin, while managing inventory costs of the consigned inventories. The account manager succeeds by solving customer problems and creating mutual value while representing Wheeler in a professional and expert manner as a supplier, information resource, and customer service-oriented company. They must present and represent our company values and market positioning. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *Increase sales of managed inventory parts at customer sites *Understand customers' needs and present how Wheeler can best meet these needs *Identify revenue opportunities and cross sell and up sell garage-level and regional-level *Engage in cross sell and up sell activities *Introduce and promote needed new SKUs to customer sites *Promote current sales programs *Seek and respond to one-time RFQ/RFP and andldquo;as neededandrdquo; sales opportunities *Adhere to Wheeler sales processes and record/report activities in/to the appropriate systems/people *Identify and escalate leads for new sites or new customers *KEY MEASURES include but are not limited to: *Sales value *Share of wallet *Sales process adherence, documentation,?and communication *Oversee the inventory at each customer site *Work with customer to determine proper stocking SKUs and levels *Set and manage system parameters relating to inventory of each SKU *Manage and perform on-site inventory process (pre- post- and document) *KEY MEASURES include but are not limited to: *Inventory turns *Accuracy and quality of inventory (count, location, label, organization) *Efficiency of physical inventory process *Manage customer support activities *Place customer orders and routinely follow-up with customer requests. *Utilize available product research tools and to assist customers with part/product selection. Escalate hard to find product situations to the appropriate product research resources and monitor the support request to assure a timely response to the customer. *Monitor customer satisfaction levels. Document complaints and compliments. Work to resolve complaints which can be immediately rectified. Seek resources to resolve more complex issues. *Escalate customer issues to management as required. *Set up and/or maintain customer records (exclusive of accounting (A/R) fields or information). *Enter warranty, returns, and requests for credits from customers assuring that the root cause and applicable data is captured in the appropriate system. *Managing manual processes associated with sales and returns. *KEY MEASURES include but are not limited to: *Customer loyalty and satisfaction *Speed and accuracy of support provided *Speed, accuracy, and completeness of data entry *Identification and support of continuous improvement in systems and processes *Customer satisfaction and/or loyalty *Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.): *High School Diploma/GED and 3-4 years working in a sales or customer service role *3+ years customer service or similar customer facing experience *Up to 50% travel to customer site, company meetings, and industry events *High degree of Mechanical aptitude and the ability to organize and multi-task. *Strong communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills with experience working on teams from multiple locations *Effective administrative / organizational skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office *Autonomous and self-motivated.
