The Role: Sales Associate (Inside Sales covering South East Asia)

Sales Associate are tasked with focusing on positively impacting sales productivity within S&P Dow Jones Indices (SPDJI). Drive sales efficiencies by reducing the administration burden on Sales Reps. As the main liaison to Customer Administration, you will facilitate the order to cash cycle in an accurate and timely manner. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to address customers’ administrative issues and administer complex deals.

The Team:

In this role you will collaborate with multiple teams including Sales, Legal, Finance, as well as other cross functional teams. You will foster close working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the commercial organization’s operations are successful for all revenue operations, engagements, and deliverables.

The Impact:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Client Coverage during all stages of the sales cycle. Assist both existing and new clients. Process new sales requests, cancellation, or amendments to existing agreements in coordination with SOS team. Work closely with Legal, Commercial Data Services, Finance and Client Services teams. Various commercially focused projects/processes and analysis such as monthly price increases or unlicensed data access review.

Responsibilities:

  • Process new sales orders, trials, cancellations for Data, IP and Custom and create Salesforce agreement profiles in coordination with SOS team

  • Reply to client queries. Queries from existing clients may include subscription status, billing/reporting, invoice status.

  • Performing Sanity checks on Invoices and billing

  • Coordinate with Sales Associates and Client (and Client Services) regarding new licensing enquiries, data entitlement requests. Help draft agreements. Pick up pending tasks when relevant sales associate is away.

  • Maintain client account records, including third party license status (CUSIP, Ratings, etc.)

  • Ongoing commercial tasks such as price increases, unlicensed access to our indices, analysis on various trends such as new subscriptions.

  • Review Pending Book bi-weekly and ensure that all orders are billed on time and in line with business expectations and sanity checks (multiyear deals, invoicing, perm to bill)

  • Work on existing accounts and manage the day-to-day end user care and maintenance of the accounts

  • Drive customer satisfaction and adoption within existing accounts

  • Monitor usage and keep Sales rep’s up to date with relevant statistics

  • Ensure timely execution of all renewals on Sales Representatives’ account list

  • Coordinate with DPM, Legal, Finance for order fulfillment cycle

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ Years in Industry: Financial Services preferred

  • 1+ Years in a Specialty/Discipline: Client Services, Sales Support or other similar role

  • Experience using Salesforce preferred

  • Manages own work with hands-on supervision

  • Impacts quality, timeliness of results, and client experience of own team and related teams

  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information

  • Uses judgment based on practice and precedence and accurately defines problems by trying to understand underlying factors/causes

  • Demonstrable analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – verbally, in writing and visually – in English; Mandarin and Japanese will be an added advantage but not mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Well-balanced strategic and operational mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to balance daily duties and larger scale projects

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrable experience in scaling sales operations infrastructure for hyper-growth B2B operations

  • Experience in sales operations/support, managing complex product contracts and data licenses

  • Previous experience working across a fast-paced matrix organization partnering with cross-functional teams
