Radio-Canada Estrie is looking for a Supervising Technician.

Within the station, this person assists and advises technical, programming, and production services or their personnel regarding the provision or maintenance of services or the achievement of objectives. You will follow up appropriately with technical staff based on established goals.

You will make recommendations and act as a consultant on technical needs, equipment, training, and technical workforce. You will design reference documents and maintain an inventory. You will perform necessary follow-ups for the maintenance of the vehicle fleet.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for the radio broadcast of the morning show. The second part of your day will be dedicated to your duties as Supervising Technician. You will also be required to perform certain tasks in support of the production team.

The work schedule is from 4:45 A.M. to 1:45 P.M., Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following profile:

Qualifications:

  • College diploma (D.E.C.) in a technical field

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in performing similar or related post-production tasks

Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of various video and audio editing software. Good knowledge or experience in audio, lighting, and IT support

  • Experience in digital production and interest in digital formats

  • Excellent knowledge and mastery of spoken and written French

  • Good knowledge of English is an asset

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Good judgment, autonomy, resourcefulness, and initiative

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in self-training

  • Possession of a valid driver's license (class 5) and a driving record that meets CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance criteria
