Associate Director – New Business Sales, Global Intelligence & Analytics, S. Korea
You will be responsible for major revenue growth within the Financials & Corporates market in S. Korea. As part of the fast growing Global Intelligence & Analytics APAC organization you will be empowered to support financial customers on a broad variety of challenges, and build high value relationships across existing and new logo clients.
Role Summary
Reporting to Head of Japan & S. Korea Sales, GIA, this role will drive new business sales into the financials & corporates sector within S. Korea
Exciting opportunity to drive major expansion into key segments of Financials & Corporates, bringing critical insights at a time of high global volatility
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

The Business Line – Global Intelligence & Analytics:
You will be responsible for the Global Intelligence & Analytics portfolio into a defined customer base within the Financials & Corporates sectors in S. Korea.
The portfolio within your remit will include Macro Economic Forecasting (including PMI), Risk Modelling, Trade Finance Business Intelligence & Sanction/Compliance Solutions, Global Supply Chain Insights, Pricing & Procurement Solutions, Early Warning Signals, Global Trade and more.
The products include the provision of Data, Analytics, Insight & Consulting to best support around customer workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Leads complex negotiations of commercial and contractual deals for new sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Provides mentoring and coaching to sales team on different levels. Identifies gaps in product knowledge, management, and sales skills within team.
Ensures that team is aware of product/market trends and responds to client/market demands with relevant products and services to drive revenue.
Partner account management teams on overall sales revenue and retention and role model right behaviours
Leads the creation of a sales plan for team with tactical action steps to execute that plan to meet and exceed sales/revenue goals.
Creates and nurtures high level strategic relationships and promotes S&P Global thought leadership to clients. Aligns sales strategy with that of S&P Global's client base.
Accountable for achieving personal sales quota.

Provides specialist advice to middle and senior management to resolve complex issues.
Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts and strategies.
Leads significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.

Position Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelors degree, preferably in economics, business, or equivalent in industry related experience
At least 10 years experience in sales roles, experience with financials/corporates and/or data sales will be considered favourably
Proven track record as an exceptional new business developer
High diligence at sale forecasting, planning and executing, utilizing well known CRM/SFDC applications
Fluency in English/Korean – written and spoken at a business level.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office to include expertise on Excel, fluency with Word and well practiced in PowerPoint.
World class communication skills to include writing, interpersonal and listening as well as presentation skills gained with large and small audiences
