Adobe Design is seeking a Senior iOS UI Engineer to join our Spectrum Design System team. We bridge design and technology, providing Adobe with tools, infrastructure, and services that enable design perfection across a range of products. Your role will help framework and product teams build out Spectrum-based components, using our design data to ensure implementation accuracy. These components will be used across multiple products. Senior team members participate in key planning activities, such as feature discovery, system architecture, requirements definition, project scope, and delivery. Overall, you will have direct ownership and play a key role in ensuring Spectrum is available for our customers in a timely, stable, and scalable way.In this role, you will:Build cool things!You'll work on a diverse and living toolset that solves real problems for designers and engineers.Have meaningful ownership. You'll sharpen your skills and learn how to take ownership of important aspects of our system.What you'll doCollaborate with the Spectrum design team to ensure Spectrum's aesthetic and API fits well into an iOS contextUnderstand and derive data from designs, map data to abstractions, integrate design data into engineering toolsPartner with internal frameworks and product engineering to define, build, and validate implementations of Spectrum in Adobe's iOS productsWork with frameworks and products to understand design's requirements and communicate engineering concerns back to designAssist in the discovery and delivery of fixes needed for Spectrum implementation gapsWhat you'll bring to the teamMust-Haves:Specialist understanding of Swift, Objective C and iOS Frameworks as applied to application development for iOS (3+ years)Experience with common build and deploy strategies for packaging, distributing, and testingSolid understanding of UI accessibility practices, standards, and testing methodsPractice with open development, collaborative code reviews, and providing detailed feedback to other team membersComfortable directing improvements to overall app architecture, testing processes, and external service integrationsExperience working in a complex, fast-paced, results driven development environmentIntimate knowledge ofUIKit, Cocoa Touch, andXcodeExperience with third-party iOS libraries and the iOS EcosystemNice-to-Haves:Familiarity with the concepts behind design systems and how they are being applied in product developmentHands-on usage of build, test, and release methods; such as compilers, linting, CI/CD tooling, software testing and validation techniques, and modern dev-ops practicesKnowledge of web accessibility, WAI standards, and WA testingExperience working with partners to inform product roadmap planning
