ABOUT Orion: YouthCare’s Orion Center provides homeless, at risk, runaway, and/or street involved young people ages 12-24 the opportunity, tools, and support in transitioning to improved living while creating a safe, nurturing environment that values and respects the cultural diversity of the young people we serve. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Program Manager Engagement Services the Program Manager 1 will coordinate day to day operations of engagement programing, including scheduling, tracking intakes for new young people, data collection, assist with leading volunteers, and working with community partners to coordinate events and engagement programming. *Assist Program Manager with scheduling and coordination of the day to day engagement programming and activities. *Provide onsite support for staff working the drop in floor and milieu at Orion Center *Provide on-site supervision of young people. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation to young people as needed. *Supervise, hire, and train Youth Counselors and On Calls. *Ensure that engagement volunteers are trained and scheduled. Communicate regularly with YouthCare’s Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager about volunteers. *Build relationships with community partners and coordinate their participation in engagement programming. *Provide leadership to internal initiatives such as program documentation, program improvement and staff development. *Monitor the progress of new young people and communicate with engagement staff to help facilitate their participation in activities, and connection to services. *Leading the coordination of agency and Orion events such as talent shows, and holiday celebrations. *Work with the Orion leadership and teams to develop safety plans and crisis response to urgent *Track inventory of basic needs supplies for Orion, and work with the Operations Supervisor and Program Manager to ensure budget compliance. *Maintain a focus on continuous quality improvement.
