Position Summary

The Manager, Member Accounts Receivable requires an ambitious, motivated, and eager individual, looking to work for an industry-leading company. This position is part of our PBM Financial Operations Member Experience department, a dynamic and skilled group, which manages all member-facing financial activities for CVS Health’s Caremark business. The Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership by overseeing a team that manages all member-related A/R and Collections functions for the Mail Order line of business. The successful Manager will leverage data and analytics to measure performance, identify trends and areas of focus for overall financial improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee day-to-day operations of the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all processes, reconciliations, personnel controls, financial reporting, and system projects

-Provides ongoing development and support of the various systems (SAP, LINKS, PeopleSafe, etc.) and other A/P, A/R, Credit, Treasury, Escheatment, Payment Disputes, and Member Collections shared systems and processes

-Leads Member A/R system monitoring, configuration, and maintenance issue efforts

-Directs improvements in the efficiency of payables/credit/collections/cash application/forecasting through system enhancements, staff training, and continuous process improvements

-Reviews process documentation, maintains policies and procedures, and implements financial controls to ensure industry/business/regulatory standards (GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley) are met and an overall strong internal control environment is maintained

-Completes other ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as directed by management

-Manage all staffing decisions including hiring and disciplinary actions

-Conduct all-team meetings and hold one-on-one discussions with all team members regularly

-Work to develop and deploy training for new employees and provide ongoing training as needed

-Complete annual performance reviews for employees and provide timely feedback

-Create a work environment for employees through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example and goal setting that encourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues, professional growth, and a consistent, high level of performance; encourage and support employee decision-making within their scope of responsibilities

This is a hybrid role with three days per week required at our Scottsdale, AZ, Irving, TX, Northbrook, IL, Hartford, CT, or Woonsocket, RI locations. Additional CVS Health locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications

-5+ years of experience including work within an accounting, finance, or other related role

-Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

-Prior PBM Finance or Mail Order experience

Experience managing direct reports

-Demonstrated experience using analytic tools for data analysis and data-driven decision making

-Experience with SAP and MS Office

-Understanding of how billing and collections impacts overall Revenue Cycle and PBM financials

-Experience managing projects involving the collaboration, motivation, and cooperation of a wide variety of people with whom there may not always be a direct reporting relationship

-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to effectively anticipate and respond to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment

-Dedication to treating both internal and external constituents as customers, maintaining a flexible customer service approach and orientation that emphasizes service satisfaction and quality

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
