Position Summary
As Lead Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) you are responsible for leading a team in its execution of CVS Health’s DEIB strategy. This role involves collaborating with key leadership, including senior leadership, Diversity Councils and HRBPs. This role will also provide expertise for the continuous improvement and measurable results of CVS Health business units and company-wide DEIB strategies and objectives. The Lead Director, DEIB reports to the Chief Diversity Officer.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as an internal consultant and adviser for business leaders across the enterprise to leverage all aspects of diversity for marketplace competitive advantage and external stakeholder engagement.
Serve as a thought partner in conjunction with the Chief Diversity Officer on efforts to integrate DEIB principles into all aspects of the employee life cycle.
Ensure systems, policies, and practices are developed, evolved, implemented and audited for equity and inclusion.
Lead direct reports as they implement, benchmark, measure and continuously improve diversity initiatives.
Clearly articulate and reinforce DEIB strategy and the organization’s business case for diversity across the enterprise.
Track diversity expenditures and support annual DEIB budget.
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices by conducting research and engaging in best practices.
Provide subject matter expertise on internal and external DEIB best practices
All other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience overseeing corporate diversity programs or other large-scale employee engagement programs.
Proven ability to translate goals into operating plans and measurable actions.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions and provide insights to key stakeholders that result in ideas to advance DEI&B strategies.
5+ years building, managing and/or developing high performing teams.
Experience implementing DEI&B strategies in the business with the ability to demonstrate successfully adoption and impact.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Ability to travel up to 20% (may include plane travel)
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-functional budget development, oversight and reporting.
Experience in implementing DEI&B strategies in a Retail environment
Tenure as a HR Business Partner
Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders in large, highly matrixed organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong relationship building skills, externally, with team members, and business leaders.
Knowledge of laws and policies at the state and federal level that impact our business practices.
Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
Strong business acumen.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
