Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will contribute to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) by supporting various initiatives data analysis. Working under the direction of the Manager, in collaboration with our GTB partners, provide business analysis and data analytics for various line of businesses.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate and conduct analysis on business requirements to design improvement opportunities across CS&O.

  • Analyze and interpret business data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and other analytics tools to enhance data visibility and support operational goals.

  • Assists peers across GTB by providing support on process mapping, process discovery, and standardization of process to optimize business performance.

  • Lead training sessions and provide guidance. Develop user guides, documentation, and reference materials to ensure knowledge retention.

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking operations, service / support or project capacity.

  • University degree in business or technical field and/or equivalent work experience.
