Purpose

This role is responsible for re-engineering of the RMA process and governance procedures, business administration and project support for the day-to-day operations and project portfolio. The ideal candidate is collaborative, results oriented, and passionate about optimizing processes, maximizing operational efficiencies, and elevating colleague and client experiences through Payments Transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze the Swift RMA data to support the stakeholder identification process.

  • Work with diverse stakeholder groups to streamline RMA governance and facilitate documentation where required.

  • Document end to end RMA process flow including the roles and responsibilities of the different stakeholder groups.

  • Work on RMA reconciliation between Swift and Scotiabank records and provide feedback on any discrepancies identified.

  • Support development and updates of RMA training material and imparting the same to operational teams.

  • Proactively identify process gaps and improvement opportunities and recommend viable solutions.

  • Within a strategic and high performing team / lab environment, the incumbent will provide support to drive various initiatives that contribute to continuous improvements in payment operations, ensuring focus on achieving business value and enhancing functionality that improves payment product performance, operational efficiency, while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring:

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills are required to deliver strong business focused plans and presentations.

  • 3-4 years of work experience in financial institutions. Payments and Swift RMA knowledge are considered an asset.

  • Prior experience working on projects/process improvements considered an asset.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Results oriented, deadline driven, self-motivated
