Assistant Manager Regulatory Reports

As the Assistant Manager of the Holding Company Team, you will be leading a diverse team of experienced and junior analysts responsible for the collection, quality assurance, and analysis of financial data used to execute the supervisory and regulatory objectives of the Federal Reserve System and other regulatory agencies. We’re looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual with strong leadership, emotional intelligence and influence skills to fill this highly visible role.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • You will manage the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure high quality work products and effective and efficient processes
  • Collaborate with area management to develop and implement strategies to increase enablement and add business value to partners
  • Establish long and short term goals for the team that align with area, Group, Bank, and System priorities
  • Hire, coach, mentor, and develop staff; create individualized development plans and provide ongoing feedback and mentoring to support employee’s goals and skill development
  • Lead and contribute towards projects and initiatives at the local and System level
  • Manage change within the team and Group including changes to data collections, processes, and applications
  • As a member of the management team, you will collaborate with other management staff to develop and implement initiatives to achieve Group, Bank, and System objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation by empowering staff to explore new methods of performing their work
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by encouraging diverse perspectives and innovative approaches while ensuring team members feel valued and respected

Qualifications:

  • An applicant for employment must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or hold a permanent resident/green card with intent to become a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting, banking, finance, or economics, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of leadership experience; 4 years of experience in banking, regulatory agency, or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts (U.S. GAAP), financial instruments, banking terminology and practices, data analysis, financial reporting, and regulations impacting financial institutions (e.g. Regulation Y, Basel III)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate, and lead others
  • Proven ability to hold self and others accountable for meeting and exceeding high standards of excellence
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management at this Bank, other Reserve Banks, regulatory agencies, and regulated institutions
  • Proven ability to initiate action, adapt to and manage change, and make difficult decisions
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and balance competing priorities

Desired Skills:

  • Prior management experience
  • Experience managing remote employees
  • Familiarity with tools used for large scale data collections, analysis, and visualization.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting or finance (CPA or CFA is helpful, but not required)
