Sodexo Corporate Services is searching for an Catering Executive Chef for USAA in San Antonito, Texas.

This experienced culinary professional will act as our Executive Chef focusing on catering and high-level event execution as well as executing Sodexo Brand Standards in our food service operation.

The best qualified candidate will have the ability to think outside the box with excellent culinary creativity. They will also have high-end catering and high-volume culinary experience.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Focus on catering execution and quality

  • Production and recipe management

  • work directly with Client on special events

  • collaborates with the Campus Chef, Area Support Manager, and Marketing Team.

  • creates menus, guides, station diagrams, standard operating procedures for Sodexo concepts.

  • develops culinary activities to educate the employee and client.

  • engages in social media content with Marketing Team

  • works in unison with culinary team to develop staff culinary skills

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

The ideal candidate has:

  • a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends

  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies

  • previous experience working in a restaurant

  • strong management skills

This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule plus evenings and weekends when needed.

Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
