Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Business Process Specialist with excellent project management and IT process experience to contribute toward the success of our Core System Mainframe technology initiatives. Your role will involve understanding our mainframe business processes. Ensure successful processing of mainframe software and hardware acquisition and payment processes. Provide oversight of our business risk processes and identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Identify, create and maintain process documents for our undocumented mainframe processes. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of business process management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate mainframe business systems and user needs

  • Develop and implement improved business processes

  • Create and maintain process documentation

  • Identify process metrics and create reports to track performance

  • Work closely with other departments to understand their business processes and requirements

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements

  • Provide training and support to our mainframe leaders on new process changes

  • Manage competing resources and priorities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.

  • At least 3 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Working experience in : Business assessment, IT standards, procedures, policy, IT service management (ITSM), Capability maturity model

  • Experience with IT systems management, IT audit and control, IT quality assurance

  • Must have IT project management and Business process modeling experience

  • Extensive experience in: Requirements analysis and Workflow analysis

  • Previous experience in mainframe business systems and user needs preferred

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
