Meridian Behavioral Health Recovery Specialist - 1st Shift in Saint Paul, Minnesota


Site: Twin Town, Men's Residential Facility in St. Paul, MN

Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm including every other weekend 1.0 FTE

Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services. This an entry level position whose most significant requirements being that you have compassion for our patients. How Our Staff Describes the Job:

A RS makes sure that things are running smoothly throughout the facility. Making sure that documentation is being done, making sure patients are making it to group and following facility rules, relaying any patient information to clinical staff. A RS works with people while maintaining healthy boundaries and ensures the environment remains therapeutic. -Anna at Oakridge (Rochester, MN)

Patient-related responsibilities such as helping develop life skills. We do admissions, we un pack patient luggage and get them set up in their room. We complete discharges. Diffuse situations that may arise. Listen to patients. We are very busy from the minute you walk in the door. You will need to carry suitcases upstairs. Fitbits usually have over 10,000 to 14,000 steps a day. We administer UA's and pregnancy tests. You have to be very knowledgeable on the computer. You also have to be able to multi-task. You have to be an outgoing, friendly person that knows how to deal with people. We do hourly rounds and check on patients. The Only Requirements Are:

  • That you have a valid driver’s license.

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

  • Be at least one year free from chemical abuse problems.

Compensation: $14.00-$15.00/hr (Depending on location and experience)
