Position Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Sr. Manager to join our PCI Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ongoing testing of existing technical and operational practices to validate that they adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and that any identified gaps are managed through closure. The Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Supporting day-to-day operational services
Facilitate the interaction between CVS Health and internal/external auditors/assessors
Manage the communications with, and the expectations of, the external auditors/assessors
Provide internal timely communication of the corresponding timelines, dependencies, readiness tasks, new security requirements, upcoming deadlines, risks, etc.
Stay current with new and evolving security topics and technologies via formal training and self-directed education
Communicate key testing milestones to all stakeholders and supporting teams
Support the team as they execute quarterly testing and measure the effectiveness of the Information Security control standards
Collaborate in driving necessary system and process updates and/or remediation
Provide advisory services on complex regulatory and security standards considerations
Work closely with cross-functional teams and develop strong liaison relationships
Willingly mentor or coach less experienced staff by sharing knowledge and experiences to help the team with talent growth
Report status of adherence against expected control outcomes, including compliance obligations.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience with Information Security in Healthcare, Insurance, and/or Retail industries
Professional interpersonal skills to effectively work with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Be proficient in time management, prioritization of deadlines, and exhibit keen attention to details
Ability to suggest mitigation strategies to his/her supervisor/manager that are derived from risk analysis and lessons learned
Strong organizational and process management skills
Professional work ethics
Required Qualifications
5+ years of IT operations or IT audit experience contributing to one or more components of an information security program in a highly regulated sector, such as healthcare or retail
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of five or more of the following information security controls:
Information Security policies
Secure system development lifecycle
Identity and access management
Cryptography and crypto key management
Operations security
Communications security
Technology operating system security
Vulnerability management (including vulnerability scanning, code security scanning, and penetration testing)
Audit trail logging, log monitoring, and event alerting management
Anti-virus and malware management
Physical access controls
Information Security incident management
Working knowledge or expertise of regulatory and industry standards, such as: NIST CSF, SOC 1 or 2 Type 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and/or HiTRUST
Experience supporting or performing detailed control testing, including regulatory audit and compliance test scenarios
Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and present conclusions effectively
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio, SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications
CISSP, CISA, CRISC or ISA
Experience with compliance or regulatory issues preferred
EducationBachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$97,335.00 - $201,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
