Job Description

U.S Bank is seeking an effective IT Production Support Specialist, with extensive experience in mainframe technologies with emphasis on CA-View and CA-Deliver products to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Performs liaison role between operations, technical/development teams, and business line resources. Fulfills administration duties including but not limited to database maintenance and support to mainframe Infrastructure and development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains support documentation and standard operating procedures, project participation, and operational readiness.

  • Serves as a resource to aid Production Command Center analysts and management with issue escalation and resolution.

  • Proactively identifies and communicates to operations regarding projects that could potentially impact the mainframe, network, and distributed systems environments.

  • Represents Report Archival Administration team and management interests at meetings for implementation, release walk-through, production readiness, and change review.

  • Increases awareness and promotes organizational brand and services. Organizes and translates information into clear written support documentation. Gathers, publishes, and manages standards and procedures.

  • Strives for process improvements which improve the accuracy, level of service, timeliness, and workload of production support.

  • Execution of product utilities and started task support.

  • System performance and health checks, Investigate, Problem Solve proactive/reactive product support.

  • Disaster Recovery Exercise Rotation and participation.

  • Assist the lead support with validation of environmental and software changes.

  • Required Primary and Secondary on-call rotation 24/7, every 3/4 weeks.

  • May required weekend coverage during system maintenance and upgrades in addition to on-call rotation coverage.

  • Coordinate with vendors, Application Developers, and business lines regarding standard requirements of CA-View/Deliver and CA Web Viewer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 2 years experience with a data center operating environment, day-to-day operational requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Metrics - SMF records.

  • Strong knowledge of ERO table controls.

  • Strong Knowledge of JOB translation table controls.

  • Advance knowledge with Automation – SAS, REXX, Python, C++ or other scripting languages/tools.

  • Advance knowledge of Mainframe system: JCL, JES, CICS, TSO, VTAM, SDSF, ISPF.

  • Solid knowledge of CA-View (SAR), CA-Deliver (RMO), CA Web Viewer (DRAS), Expanded Access Server (EAS)

  • Strong, broad knowledge with Test Automation, Jenkins, Python, REXX, SAS.

  • Strong knowledge of software desktop applications such as Outlook, Explorer, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow for incident management as per change control procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of Change Control standards.

  • Strong knowledge Cloud fundamentals – Azure.

  • Must pass GSA and GAC background checks.

  • Five+ years of experience with Mainframe, Automation, CA-View, and CA-Deliver Products.

  • External Security – RACF class resource rules, CA1, BES.

  • Automation driven with skills to script/develop/debug tool integrations.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $29.42 - $39.23 - $43.15
