Job Description

This role reports to the CFO of Impact Finance, a rapidly expanding tax credit platform of US Bank, which primarily invests in renewable energy projects, low-income housing initiatives, new market tax credit programs, and other governmental tax credit schemes.

The Senior Finance Manager will be instrumental in propelling business growth by focusing on client profitability in conjunction with various product lines, analyzing and enhancing productivity throughout the organization, leading quarterly business reviews, managing forecasts for capital gains and losses, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and serving as the primary contact for diverse legislations, including Pillar II, within the tax credit industry.

Detailed job responsibilities include:

• Development and maintenance of client profitability reporting: Work with the Data team to establish client profitability analysis processes, utilizing existing systems. Enhance product penetration in partnership with product lines. Lead the effort to integrate debt and equity products and assess the overall client return to boost revenue.

• Product Group Quarterly Reviews: In collaboration with the FP&A and FS&R teams, create a quarterly business review for the CIPO and CEO of Impact Finance.

• Quarterly Productivity analysis and reporting: Develop a process to evaluate the productivity of various groups to drive resource optimization.

• Tax support & legislative analysis pertinent to the Tax Credit Industry: Conduct annual assessment of current and projected capital gains and losses with tax consultants and the Corporate Tax team. Oversee tax forecasts concerning capital gains/losses and deferred tax assets/liabilities. Maintain close communication with tax and product teams to monitor legislative developments, including Pillar II, state tax intricacies, and additional relevant matters.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis concepts and methodologies

  • Considerable knowledge of accounting theory practice, regulatory requirements and reporting

  • Well-developed financial analysis, forecasting and planning skills

  • Management experience preferred

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $123,165.00 - $144,900.00 - $159,390.00
