Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for SSM Health Des Peres Hospital in St Louis, MO. The Food Operations Manager will manage Food & Nutrition operations including patient dining, retail food service and catering. The Food Operations Manager will develop and manage a team of employees and will collaborate with other leaders of the department and hospital.

The schedule will be Monday to Friday with some weekends as business dictates. Salary isnegotiabledepending upon experiencewith a full benefits package that kicks in immediately.

The successful candidate will:

• motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff and supervisors

• help oversee culinary operations, ordering, procurement, and inventories

• ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed

• manage vendor relationships and compliance

We are looking for candidates who have:

• have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills

• a culinary management background

• possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service

• Certified Executive Chef (CEC), a huge plus

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
