A Brief Overview

Applies highly developed skills to provide medication therapy management and clinical consultation to healthcare professionals by staying updated with evidence-based practices and monitoring adverse events. Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and delivers patient education by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Ensures patient safety and enhances overall healthcare outcomes through expert clinical pharmacy services. Requires a Pharmacist license and dispenses prescriptions to patients/customers/members.

What you will do

  • Under general direction, prepares medications following established protocols and safety guidelines.

  • Conducts thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy and safety in all aspects of medication compounding and dispensing.

  • Utilizes pharmacy software systems to enter and verify prescription information, dosage, and medication interactions.

  • Delivers medication counseling and education to care team, ensuring they understand proper medication usage, potential side effects, and precautions.

  • Assists in the management of pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies.

  • Helps establish and implement best practices and standard operating procedures within the pharmacy to enhance efficiency and patient safety.

  • Under minimal supervision, maintains accurate and complete records of all pharmacy activities, including medication orders, compounding records, and dispensing records.

  • Helps establish and implement staff training programs and creates new relationships for teaching and training opportunities.

  • Identifies opportunities for skills and knowledge development for team members, shares relevant information, and promotes inter-departmental collaboration.

For this role you will need Minimum Requirements

  • Less than 5 years work experience

  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing with no restrictions.

  • Advanced problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Advanced growth mindset skills (agility and developing yourself and others).

  • Advanced skills in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).

  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.

  • Advanced digital literacy skills.

Education

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$42.49 - $91.49

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
