This is a part-time position working approximetly 20 - 35 hours per week. This position has direct contact with clients who are committed to the DOC working within a correctional facility.
This position provides behavioral health services to clients in a Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) at the MCF- RC and provides clinical consultation and training to DOC staff.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Independently develop, implement, and document treatment plans and services for clients with complex and/or treatment-resistant behavioral health issues and symptoms.
Conduct independent clinical assessments of clients with complex and/or treatment-resistant behavioral health issues and symptoms to determine and document their amenability to treatment, diagnoses, treatment needs and risk factors.
Provide independent clinical supervision, consultation, training, oversight and evaluation to other behavioral health practitioners and interns/students as assigned, consistent with license and competencies.
Lead and/or participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and other meetings as assigned.
Complete other psychological evaluations on clients, which may include neuropsychological evaluations, civil commitment reports, or competency/capacity evaluations.
Complete specialized projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Education and Licensure:
Completion of a Doctorate in Psychology or equivalent Doctorate. (NOTE: Finalists for the position will be asked to provide a copy of their college transcript at the time of their interview.)
Current licensure in Minnesota as a Licensed Psychologist (LP). (NOTE: Applicants that have met the educational requirements for licensure may be considered for a provisional appointment until fully licensed.)
Applicants will be further assessed using the following criteria:
Knowledge of psychological evaluation methods sufficient to make assessments of client's mental, emotional, and behavioral status and to guide others in making assessments in complex cases involving multiplediagnoses.
Knowledge of standards, policies, statutes, and rules relating to the delivery of psychological services.
Skill in psychological assessment, evaluation, testing, and treatment approaches sufficient to guide the effortsof clinical staff in the development of effective, individualized treatment plans and services.
Skill in psychological and research methodology sufficient to guide other clinical and Corrections staff inlocating informational resources and in interpreting research results.
Skill in analyzing and ability to interpret research and issue analysis sufficient to apply and guide other professionals in the application of improved treatment methods.
Skill in completing comprehensive psychological evaluations, including the administration and interpretation of a variety of psychological tests.
Ability to work with other professionals, psychologists, facility department heads, program evaluation staff, and community providers sufficient to achieve and maintain a high level of integration of treatment programming.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing so that the interests of offenders and the standards of the psychology profession are represented in all written documentation.
Ability to provide leadership and clinical direction to other mental health professionals, students and non-clinical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Current licensure in Minnesota as a Licensed Psychologist (LP).
Demonstrated expertise in the provision of behavioral health services for a correctional population.
Experience providing group and individual therapy in a residential treatment setting.
Experience providing clinical supervision to a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Knowledge of program evaluation.
Experience in assessment and treatment of sex offenders and/or chemical dependency.
Physical Requirements

Additional Requirements
The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
