The Corporate Sales Service Representative (CSSR) is responsible for processing inquiries and sales orders from corporate distributors and consumers, as well as product orders received by telephone, mail, email or fax from customers, outside sales representatives, retail store accounts and/or special accounts, such as for government, military, uniforms and shareholders. This position monitors order deadlines, special requirements, and sales rep/account associations wherever possible to ensure maximum opportunity for all to reach Newell Brands Technical Apparel (NBTA) sales goals. Answers incoming Direct Consumer and Corporate Sales Distributor calls to the call center telephones and retrieves messages from voice mail, e-mail, and fax requests for product orders and inquiries.
Promptly responds to questions about product technical features, availability and other information.
Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed.
Recommends purchase of additional merchandise based on knowledge of complete product lines, features, functionality and intended style combinations.
Enters, manages and edits orders received for price, availability, style/color accuracy and shipping within specific timelines. Accurate order entry and management, and secure handling of customer information and financial data is essential in order to effectively drive sales and minimize any financial impact both internally and externally and allow for smooth daily transactions.
Computes price, discounts and estimated shipping charges and communicates as need to customers.
Obtains prepayment details and pre-authorize credit card transactions as needed for the release and delivery of customer orders.
Monitors all orders daily to ensure product is picked and will be delivered by the specified date.
Communicates order status and tracking to customers.
Uses the business tools available each morning to establish issues/solutions and contacts customers as needed to inform them of said issues/solutions.
Resolves customer product order problems such as style or color exchange, credit hold accounts, refused orders and status of customer issues following current policies and procedures.
Forwards non-routine complaints to supervisor.
Files copies of orders received according to stated guidelines.
Actively manages professional development.
University or four-year college degree in Business or Sales and Marketing, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a consumer products company with responsibility for order tracking, problem resolution and customer interface, preferably in the active - outdoor apparel industries with specific expertise in sportswear and outwear
Practical knowledge of related functions including production, inventory planning, dealer service and distribution
Understanding of customer and market demands and ability to leverage analysis and insights to fully realize opportunities in the market
Strong customer service orientation
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a variety of people
Ability to manage and lead change
Highly driven, self-motivated and capable of working without significant supervision
Flexible nature with the ability to react quickly and sometimes creatively to business needs
Self-Starter with the ability to set and achieve individual goals while working as part of a team. Takes ownership of the details and recruits peers as needed to share in the process and success.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Proven ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment
Willing to work long hours and weekends during preseason selling periods
Proficiency in all Microsoft programs, advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Proficiency in SAP as well as 10-Key operation and order entry system preferred
Knowledge of data base software preferred
A passion for the Outdoor Industry and Travel / Adventure a plus

Able to travel domestically up to 15% of the year
