GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Director for the St. Thomas Aquinas Program, the STAP Administrative Assistant provides general support for the St. Thomas Aquinas Program, advancing overall program goals and providing direct outreach to the student population. As a key team member, the STAP Administrative Assistant serves as an initial point of office contact, collects and organizes data, performs student outreach, manages team meetings and calendars, is responsible for data collection and entry and must collaborate across campus to assist in the overall operation of the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides outreach to prospective and current STAP students to set appointments and collect information. Manages the calendar of the Senior STAP Counselor and Director for STAP. Manages, updates and verifies student files including data entry of visits, correspondence, tutoring, GPA information and college status. Serves as an initial point of contact for all STAP students entering office and ensures smooth office operations by updating yearly calendar, verifying accuracy of workload reports/rosters, maintaining/ordering supplies, student information, etc. Collaborates with Administrative Assistants for academic departments across campus to facilitate smooth transitions for students with advisors, major changes, required paperwork and other issues relating to student success. Also responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director for the STAP program. Provides as back-end support to help manage and maintain online platforms and reports including Jenzabar, SLATE, SLACK, Canvas, Lion’s den and Infomaker.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED 3 to 5 years of work related experience Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $22.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
