University of Rochester IVF Laboratory Director in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

The Strong Fertility Center at the University of Rochester is currently seeking an IVF Laboratory Director to join our fertility team in Rochester, NY. Candidates must be experienced in all aspects of the laboratory management of gametes and embryos including oocyte identification, sperm preparation, insemination, ICSI, embryo culture, embryo biopsy, assisted hatching and oocyte/embryo cryopreservation, oocyte/embryo thawing, and embryo transfer. A PhD and HCLD certification is required. Ability to obtain New State licensure in endocrinology and andrology laboratory directorship is required.

Candidates should work well with others, have good communication skills and possess the ability to supervise laboratory personnel. The successful candidate will be appointed as fulltime faculty at the University of Rochester as either Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor depending on the candidate’s background and experience.

The Strong Fertility Center is a busy fertility center with 5 academic board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists. The embryology laboratory possesses all the necessary equipment to provide superb culture conditions and all micromanipulation techniques. There are also andrology and endocrinology laboratories housed in the division.

Candidates should have flexibility in their schedule and will need to be available on some weekends. Teaching of medical students, residents and training of embryology staff is also expected.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $200,000 - $250,000 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
