Mayo Clinic Platform is a portfolio of digital initiatives focused on transforming healthcare by using artificial intelligence and collaborating with partners. Our current three platforms are: Clinical Data Analytics, Virtual Care and Remote Diagnostics and Management. Mayo Clinic Platform is critical to Mayo’s Bold.Forward future. We will ensure the needs of the patient continue to always come first, we will create patient-centric disruption from within the flawed healthcare system, we will fulfill global responsibility for the ethical use of healthcare data, while strengthening our three shields and endowing Mayo Clinic’s unique practice.
This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Mayo Clinic Platform and will partner closely with the President and Medical Director of Mayo Clinic Platform. All Business lines and their products must work together to ensure that our overall platform business is established, resulting in network effects that will drive profitability for Mayo Clinic and its customers.
The Vice President for Mayo Clinic Platform Solutions will focus on the development of solutions for our customers (B2B) serving the health system, employer, health plan markets, medical device, and biopharma markets across all business segments. This role will be responsible for building, organizing, and leading a team to define compelling solutions and strategies that ensure our customer needs are met and are translated into effective proposals, pricing strategies, sales and contracts. This role will understand and translate the voice of the customer to ensure that our solutions are market ready and packaged appropriately.
Specifically, the VP, MCP Solutions will be responsible for:
Development of customer specific strategies and solutions to ensure sales success of a suite of products that will drive a win/win for Mayo Clinic Platform and the Client; lead/coach the team in the development and execution of an effective sales strategy
Lead Market Solutions and partner with Product Management to define a customer review process that ensures opportunities are assessed and a formal process in place to obtain approval for scope and pricing
For our most strategic and innovative clients that are non-standard, ensure buy in from executive team, alignment on the solution being sold and have a tight link to operations and product to ensure once sold, the client can be effectively implemented and serviced
Ensure the process is developed and adhered to that develops a pipeline of external market feedback to Marketing and Product Management including client trends, competitive intel, market differentiation ideas, packaging and pricing recommendations based on input from your sales, market solutions and account management teams
Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert and coach to the sales and account management teams given extensive knowledge of employer, health plan, biopharma, medical device, Medicaid, and Medicare market needs
Lead the Market Solutions Team to define market needs for cross functional teams that are accountable for enhancements to existing capabilities and to develop new capabilities in order to meet evolving market needs and to leverage Technical Expertise
Serve as the Liaison to Leaders in the Product, Product Marketing, and other key areas as they define product strategies and roadmaps based on external market input
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
10-15 years’ Health Care Industry experience in health plans or health plan sales, product, marketing, and operations
Strong customer strategy skills
Ability to take strategy to successful execution
Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor others
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to successfully sell to employers, health plans and specialty companies
Ability to maneuver current and future customer executive level teams
Deep knowledge of Mayo Clinic’s capabilities and roadmap
