Responsibilities

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation that effectively communicates complex technical information to a variety of audiences. This includes producing various types of written content, including briefing documents, memos, presentations, and more. This role will also involve editing and revising existing content, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and formatting. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and a proven ability to communicate complex topics clearly. The successful candidate will take an active role across Mayo Clinic to understand business objectives and build written documents to crisply communicate those objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write engaging content for multiple platforms.

• Edit, proofread, and improve existing content to ensure consistency in tone, style, and quality.

• Optimize content according to best practices to increase reach and engagement.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust content strategies as needed.

• Manage and maintain the content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.

• Analyze content performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

*This position is 100% remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and 4 years of related experience as a technical writer/editor/content strategy, or a similar role.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.

• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.

• Familiarity with best practices and content optimization techniques.

• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation Detail

$97,884.80 - $137,030.40 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
