Responsibilities

Oversee the Center or Program which serves as the administrative base for a small to medium size program(s) involving multicenter groups with national/international participation. Provides leadership, management, and direction and is responsible for the operation of the program within the designated Center or Program. Coordinates resources and work loads to achieve objectives and strategies. Works with Physician and Administrative leadership in development of strategic plans, programmatic budgets, and process improvements. Manages partnerships with national/international consortium or program members. Interacts and works collaboratively with federal and/or industry sponsors and agencies for items related to the Center or Program, as needed. Participates in funding renewal processes and progress reports. Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with internal (e.g. MCSSO, MCA, MCF, etc.) and external partners. Manages projects and serves as a primary resource for issues and communications relating to the Center or Program. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of programmatic issues. May have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, health care or science related field with a minimum of 2 years of program-related experience.

Masters degree preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong clinical research background, and experience in budgets, grants and contracts management.

Broad-based management or project management experience is preferred in order to coordinate a wide range of activities. Working knowledge of program development, program evaluation, data management, and computer/related systems are required. Strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, i.e., physician, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff, and external partnerships is required. Must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects and assignments with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Relevant program certification preferred.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $70,512 - 105,747 annually

Schedule Details

8-hour workday between 6am and 6pm. This position will work remotely and on campus in Rochester, MN. Business needs require employees to live a reasonable driving distance from the Rochester, MN campus.
