Responsibilities

Job Review, Scheduling, Editing, in the Printing Industry

Works as part of the print production unit within Mayo's Division of Media Support Services. Will be responsible for the operation of unit specific computer software. Proficiency at understanding oral instructions, reading, math, and computer skills, as well as a broad range of process knowledge in the printing industry is required. This position will provide direct customer support to Mayo Clinic staff submitting print orders to the Internal Print Production Unit where the primary task will be reviewing, scheduling, and editing jobs before they go into production at the Printshop.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of the print industry and products, and be able to provide excellent customer service by assisting customers picking up products, answering questions, looking up job status, and reviewing requests. Candidates must be proficient in computer skills, and able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, and in person. Candidates must have exemplary customer service skills as well as working knowledge of the print production processes.

The Printshop Building location is off the main downtown campus. We have parking outside the building. We have an onsite break room with the standard amenities, vending machines, microwave, coffee pot, ice machine, sink, and refrigerators.

Qualifications

2 Year AA (Associates Degree) in layout, design, html, publishing or media-related field plus 1 year work experience or a minimum of 3 years work experience in a production/publishing related field. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mathematics. Attention to detail and accuracy.
