Acts as lead technical expert in the execution of overarching Access Technologies and
Systems (ATS) operations and project related work. Has broad understanding of Mayo
Clinic’s access management systems, workflows and operations including the Practice’s
vision for access management to influence and execute strategy. Demonstrated agility in
working with rapidly developing project scope and plan. Synthesizes and drives solutions
between operations, work units, suppliers and technical area. Provides direction, coaching,
training, and mentorship for team members and colleagues, as appropriate, in alignment
with the project, program, or organizational structure. Responsible for the development of
the business analysis approach. Takes a data-driven approach to reach decisions that
support and advance business objectives. Ensures the developed solutions satisfy the stated
requirements and business objectives. Maintains “thought-leader” level technical expertise
of software programs or modules related to patient access or staff scheduling, including
interactions between modules (e.g., Cadence, MyChart, Radiant, Cupid, etc). Expert
understanding of the enterprise business environment and the impact ATS has on the
business environment including broad patient access implications. Functions as an expert
liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas during the planning process and
provides oversight throughout the project cycle. Works independently on projects and
assignments within scope of ability and authority escalating the most complex issues or
those requiring leadership approvals to the appropriate individual. May regularly assume a
team leadership role to direct and coordinate the work of other staff, which includes
assigning tasks to staff taking into consideration balancing workloads, skill sets, technical
knowledge, and criticality of the tasks. Serves as a consultant or tutor, coaching others in
specific technical areas of expertise and as a technical focused member of the ATS
Bachelor's and 9 years experience in business analysis, business administration,
engineering, information science, health or science-related field OR Master degree and 7
years' experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information
science, health or science-related field. Experience with application implementation and
optimization, data analysis, process improvement techniques (Lean, Six Sigma), OR clinic
operations throughout a large healthcare institution is required.
License or certification Epic Cadence certification is required.
Exemption status Exempt
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,697.60 - $5,713.60, based on a full-time position.
