Position description

  • Works with the supervisors and operations managers to coordinate FTE needs related to most job categories in the department/program. This includes evaluating applicants for qualifications, pre-screening, coordinating, and/or participating in the interview process and appropriate placement. This is accomplished within the designated department budget and FTE planning for the department in collaboration with department administration, research operations managers, supervisors, and human resources.

  • Develops and maintains programs that enhance retention and recruitment for clinical research roles.

  • Potential travel on recruitment trips as a representative of Mayo Clinic and Research Administration.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in management, business administration, health care or science related field and at least two years successful research related experience.

Additional qualifications

  • Working knowledge of clinical research, research programs, data management and computer-related systems are required.

  • Must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload and assignments with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

  • SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.

  • An understanding of clinical research roles, research administrative services structure and departmental policies and procedures is required.

  • Requires ability to communicate with a variety of people in a direct, personable, and articulate manner; possesses negotiation skills and public speaking skills.

  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze information from several sources and communicate this to others in a meaningful manner.

  • Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude and to maintain a positive self-image through appearance and actions.

  • Remains current regarding the research profession and national and regional employment trends for the future.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,518.40, based on a full-time position.
