Position description

Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals. The physical therapist assists with department and program planning.

This position has a primary focus on the physical therapy evaluation and treatment of patients with return to work needs. Weekend responsibilities are within the hospital practice.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist.

Additional qualifications

Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.

Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.

Also prefer active participation within professional organization.

License or certification Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,919.20, based on a full-time position.

Schedule details

Working M-F primarily at our NW Clinic location in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 8:00-5:00 p.m. with also working every fourth weekend in the hospital practice 7:30-4:30. Will also shift to high patient care need therapy practice areas when needed.
