Responsibilities

Performs general maintenance work requiring higher skill levels alone in a safe and efficient manner; assists with work requiring higher skill levels. Frequently functions independently with little direction. Performs complicated maintenance repairs, and preventative maintenance. Assists with work in other skill levels. Possesses a current valid Minnesota Electrical License. Easily adapts from one type of work to another.

Possess advanced skills and expertise to complete complex and detailed work within the Electrical Specialty.

Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance on other fixed and portable equipment.

Demonstrates proficient use of all department test equipment used for troubleshooting repairs.

Demonstrates efficient utilization of multiple electronic applications, software, and computers, which support Facilities Operations.

Must work independently and adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.

Must organize and prioritize self and work.

Work varied hours which may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with rotating days off.

Requires excellent communication, telephone, and human relations skills to interact with staff, visitors, and patients.

Utilizes internal/external resources to maintain skills and competencies.

Has completed the Group 50001 criteria.

Qualifications

Current, valid, Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electricians License.

Five years’ experience working in industrial electrical environment. Electrical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Prefer a two-year post high school degree in electrical or in a related field.

Compensation is $30.34 / hour based upon union contract
