Position description

The IT Department at Mayo Clinic has an opening for a Technology Manager that would be responsible for running the technology that supports our Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. Experience working with IAM systems would be beneficial, In particular Microsoft B2C, Active Directory, ADFS, Azure Active Directory, SailPoint, and CyberArk. Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and ServiceNow would also be beneficial.

The Technology Manager is responsible for the roadmap and overall management of a technology portfolio of either applications or infrastructure components. The main competency of a Technology Manager center on the disciplines of technology management to ensure the portfolio effectively meets short and long term Mayo requirements. Technology Managers assess technology effectiveness to ensure alignment with performance, cost, architectural and business requirements. The Technology Manager develops short and long term plans working with the Office of IT Strategy and Architecture as well as the Office of Information Security to ensure the technology portfolio components align with overall direction and meets Mayo requirements. Technology Managers are responsible for developing high performance operations and developing tech culture based teams to delivery technology upgrades, enhancements, integrations and level three on call support while ensuring direct report development and training needs are met. Technology Managers provide structure, guidance and support for budgeting, capital, and Opex planning for delivery of technology. May serve as Secretary, Assistant Secretary or member of IT for institutional committees.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience. Experienced with committee- and consensus-managed, physician-led organization. Other Qualifications: Requires skill in effective decision making and effective consensus management. Strong understanding of and experience in Technology Management disciplines. Strong understanding of finance, business processes, budgeting and human resources development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring.

Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Additional qualifications

Master's degree preferred with 4 years of experience. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience with managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied products and services. Experience in vendor management and negotiations. Some travel may be required in this position.

Compensation Detail

Required education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $4,588-$6,653 based on a full-time position.
