Position description

The Operations Service Center Section within the Enterprise Operations Services Division is establishing a Vulnerability and Security Patch Management (VSPM) SWAT Unit dedicated to vulnerability remediation and management. This position is for the IT Lead Systems Analyst for the VSPM SWAT Unit's Applications and Platform team. The Team Lead will work with the SMD to staff to metrics and remediate the vulnerability backlog for EAS and ETS. The successful candidate will work with OIS on vulnerability standards and metrics, and assist in reporting progress monthly to Vulnerability and Security Patch Management Operations Group, and participate in the VSPM COE members to establish processes and procedures to submit remediation requests to the VSPM SWAT Unit.

Assists with and participates in leadership, coordination, and management of activities required to operate, direct or advise a Mayo department or equivalent organizational structure.

Works effectively across departmental organizations to gain consensus of stakeholders.

Initiates, develops and manages project, division and/or department financial and business plans.

Works with Enterprise Leaders to write requirements and design business processes.

Develops proposals that consider alternatives and business case to gain needed institutional approvals.

Supports IT Management with vendor relations and collaborations in alignment with strategic objectives.

May serve as Secretary, Assistant Secretary or member of IT or institutional committee.

Prepares and presents reports translating technical offerings, summarizing findings, alternatives and recommendations.

Determines if internal controls are adequate to meet management objectives and makes recommendations.

Communicates and educates various functional areas within the IT processes.

Counsels management personnel and coordinates the analysis during the process of planning and directing operational or strategic matters to meet goals and objectives.

May Lead Quality Improvement efforts for the department.


Bachelor’s degree with 9 years technology or business administration experience; or a Master’s degree in Business Administration and 7 years technology or business administration experience.

Other qualifications: Preferred Bachelor’s degree would be in Information Technology, Business Management or related field.

Additional qualifications

Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.

Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes.

Strong understanding of financial concepts, business process, continuous improvement and organizational development.

Experience working in healthcare technology.

Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations.

Experience in Accounting, Vendor Relations and Project Management.

License or certification

One or more of the following: Accounting certification, Quality Assurance certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, portfolio management or business certification from a nationally-recognized governance body or accredited collegiate program preferred.

Compensation Detail

Required education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $3,670.00 - $6,036.00 based on a full-time position.
