Position description

The HR Strategic Communications Specialist will build and execute marketing and communication plans to support HR priorities during the talent life cycle. The Specialist will develop, pitch, drive, manage, and analyze results of marketing and communication strategies, based on talent voice, target audiences, and market research. Provides marketing and communication consultation and strategic guidance to key stakeholders, colleagues, and appropriate committees across the enterprise. Executes complex and cross-functional projects and operational oversight through entire project life cycle, from project concept through launch, to achieve objectives, and measure results against HR business needs. Strategies include full media campaigns, digital/print materials, social media/web development, survey/focus group implementation. Integrates and synthesizes information to create clear and concise messaging to inspire our talent. Conveys confidence, clarity and transparency in communications with stakeholders and leaders. The Specialist will provide internal department training on best practices and new communications tools and techniques to appropriate team members.

Performs additional job-related functions as detailed by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in business, strategic communications, marketing, healthcare, human resources, or related field, plus 4 years professional experience or 8 years professional experience in marketing and/or communications.

Additional qualifications

Business acumen, including proven expertise in developing and executing marketing and communications strategies that drive business objectives. Requires strong leadership, problem solving ability, critical thinking, active listening, quantitative skills, persuasive oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to delegate and support projects. Demonstrated excellence in presentation to small and large audiences in person and virtually through digital technology. Ability to effectively build, lead and motivate teams and individuals. Experience with employee communications, and working with various vendor/broker relationships. Must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style and collaborative environment that expects and promotes teamwork. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, and have experience in effectively meeting deadlines with a quality product. Possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, innovation, and creativity. Travel may be required. Master’s Degree in marketing and/or communications preferred.

Compensation Detail

Required education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $2,608 -$4,028 based on a full-time position.
