Responsibilities

Provides athletic training services in the interscholastic, intercollegiate, elite amateur, professional and recreational setting including event coverage. Provides athletic training services to athletes to include evaluation, treatment, and management of injuries,, and injury prevention. Communicates and collaborates with patient, physician, physical therapist and other team members regarding patient progress, response to treatment, goals, and program changes. Clearly presents verbal and written instructions to patients and their families in appropriate terminology.

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Athletic Training and certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Training, along with Minnesota Athletic Trainer license is required. CPR certification is required. Must be able to demonstrate clinical proficiency with good manual dexterity in order to manipulate treatment equipment. Must have strong communication and human relation skills to interact with clinicians, administrators, students, coaches, parents, etc. At least one year experience working as an athletic trainer is preferred. Willing to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, , Licensed Minnesota Athletic Trainer, CPR Certification.
