Position Title: School of Engineering Visiting Faculty Position Summary: The Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at Manhattan University is the largest academic department in the University and home to the largest Civil Engineering undergraduate program in New York City. The department offers graduate (Masters) degree programs in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering. The faculty members of the department possess expertise in a wide range of fields and have strong ties to the civil, environmental, and construction industries in the region. We are seeking applications for a visiting faculty position in Environmental Engineering.This non-tenure track position will be filled at the Assistant or Associate level commencing Fall 2025. Candidates with expertise within all areas of Environmental Engineering are encouraged to apply, especially those with a background in environmental process engineering, water quality assessment, and/or environmental modeling. Opportunities to work with program faculty and students on research are available within our newly renovated Environmental Engineering Research Laboratories. Reports to: Chairperson of Civil & Environmental Engineering Department Supervises: None Salary: $85, 000 - $90, 000 Responsibilities: Teach courses in Environmental Engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) levels Prepare course materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and exams Hold regular office hours to meet with students for academic guidance and clarifications Qualifications: Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and a doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants must be qualified to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) levels. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in specialty areas within Environmental Engineering. Candidates will be evaluated on their academic background, professional experience, communication skills, and potential for excellence in teaching.
